ServSafe Classes | Iowa State University Extension and Outreach

Offers SERVSAFE® classes for food service professionals. Training will provide knowledge such as food hazards and proper food handling practices in order to keep food safe and protect the establishment against a foodborne-illness outbreak. Participants will learn ways of prevention, regulatory requirements, and how to improve food quality.

Provides the opportunity to take an exam to be certified as a Food Protection Manager, through one 6-hour course plus the certification exam. Upon successfully passing the exam, certification is provided by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to be certified as a Food Protection Manager.
